start 19:30pm, Residents Club
Date: April 7 2005
1. Events May
- Too many social events scheduled for may, we will cancel the Sunshine Island Family Cruise
- Spring dinner: (without Hobie club); Scheduled for May 21st Saturday
2. Training
- 18 sailors attended (& certified) train the trainer course with Brian Phipps
- Some questions raised since most of participants were (and are) not a member of the club. Whether we will see them again is a big question mark. Altough for the long term it will probably work out well for the club, next time we should commit outsiders to activities/membership if they want to attend our training
3. Dragon Boat race
- We are invited to enter a team for the Dragon Boat Race (HKD 3000)
- Marianne Kolding will coordinate this year's Dragon boat race (20 people required; only 1/2 practice sessions - HK
4. Regatta
- October 8-19 Brian Phipps will come to train us for the Regatta.
- The Hobie's will organise the Hobie Asia (October 22-23). We are invited as long as we sail a Hobie 16.
- This year we will not have the Commodore's cup.
- We propose a race with the Hobie's (end of november) in which we will mix crews.
5. Regatta 2005
- We need to start contacting the sponsors
- Joseph and Richard to follow up with James - JS/RC
6. Hut
- It looks like the new contact in DB resorts is positive towards the plans for our hut.
- We need project plan, further details and project manager
- Steve will ask Nina to play role of project manager
- To execute we probably need 6-8 weeks. We should prevent having a building site during the Regatta.
- Richard will schedule meeting with Nina and Craig to discuss next steps - RC
7. Calendar 2005
- Nicole to prepare draft event calendar July - December 2005 - NK
- Max 1 social event per month
