The tasks that came out of yesterdays meeting about the regatta are:
- KL - call new social sailors about volunteering for safety duty
- SW - give Kevin list of socials
- SW - ask Sky and RHKYC Ship Shop how many knives have in stock - ask for some on sale or return basis
- JS - send email to entrants telling them knife will be necessary
- SW - talk to Kevin's contact about what insurance RHKYC bought for their regatta
- KL - talk to Carl Lin about doing race results
- HK - talk to HKR about borrowing marquees and hose pipe from washrooms to hobie parking area on beach
- CK - get fencing for beach boat park
- SW - collect prizes from Sky
- MF - agree and get prizes from Igors
- NK - choose and collect prizes from FH
- MF - accept delivery of shirts etc at her office
- Tom - prepare image for flags / courses / safety numbers
- NK - print and laminate flag / courses / safety number for all competitors
- SW / HK / JS - investigate electric horn
- CK - make bigger flags
- RC - talk to Jeremy about flag frame
- Tom - sort out music / stereo
- HK - organise beach cleanup, grass cutting
- SW - arrange printer for results
20th Sept we need to start calling members to register or loan their boats
We didn't talk much about training, but Brian will be here in 1 month. Nicole, could you start mentioning it in the flash. My impression is that we have a lot of inexperienced social sailors who will want to do something , but won't have boats and don't know enough to do intermediate. I'll talk to Brian for suggestions
