ABC Sunseeker Open Regatta 2005 – Sunday September 4th

At this moment ten boats from LBC signed up for the ABC Sunseeker Open Regatta to be organized on Sunday.

We will leave the beach Saturday September 3rd at Midday 12 o’clock. It will take us at least 3 hours to sail to Middle Island. For those who will not be able to leave at 12:00, you can give your luggage to Awah before 12 and sail by yourself. If necessary Away will be able to come back to tow. You should give him a call if needed.

After we beach and tie down the boats at Middle Island we will take the ferry to ABC Boatclub to enjoy a warm shower. The registration party will start at 18:30.

Those who are not able to leave Saturday can sail over Sunday morning leaving the beach at 8 o’clock sharp. Awah will be present to tow if needed.

The race will start on Sunday (4/9) 11am. We have to get ready before 9am, it will take at least 1 hour, depending on the wind, from Middle Island to the race area, between Lamma and Po Toi Island.

After the race, we will sail straight back to DB. Awah will take our luggage back to Discovery Bay. If you have any questions, please contact: josephshieh@yahoo.com.

Commodore's Cup in Cheung Chau: September 18-19

Enjoy the mid-Autumn Festival weekend with a little friendly competition at this year's Commodore's Cup in Cheung Chau. Sail over on Sunday morning and 'around-the-cans' races in the afternoon. Monday (holiday) will be a long-distance race.

For those who want to stay overnight in Cheung Chau, rooms at the Warwick are extremely tight because of the long-weekend. We have only managed to reserve a few rooms and they are asking for deposits by the 30th as a guarantee. If you are interested in reserving a room, please contact social @ lantauboatclub.com .

Discovery Bay Asian Open Regatta - 22 & 23 October

Our main event of the year, the Discovery Bay Asian Open Regatta will take place October 22 and 23rd. One of the events you do not want to miss. 13 Boats have signed up already. For those who just bought a boat or started sailing, do not hesitate to sign up. This is a good opportunity to become experienced!
