Sailing Report
Sunday-Nov 27th
Despite the minimal wind last Sunday morning, the pressure picked
up nicely around noon and lasted all afternoon until well after
dark. Three boats of families (the Carreys, Blackwells, and Ludlows)
headed off to Mui Wo for a leisurely lunch at the China Beach Club.
It was choppy around DB, but smoothed out inside Peng Chau for a
reasonable ride that still required a bit of trapezing. Neils Brink
was out on the Tiger around Hei Ling Chau, and 4 or 5 boats went
to Cheung Chau. One casualty was reported when IQ lost his mast
and called Ah Wah for a rescue tow.

Miscellaneous
Turn off taps at the beach
You will have noticed the new taps and hoses recently installed
at the beach, through the efforts of Craig Kurten and Steve Wallace,
with expert trouble-shooting by Brian Phipps.
Please remember to turn off the taps at the stand pipes when you
have finished with the hose, and inside the blue hut at the end
of the day. The water pressure seems to be pretty high at the moment,
possibly because of the reclamation, and the hoses can split if
they are left under pressure for too long. Also, with 4 different
taps, you will get better pressure if only one or two are “on”
at the same time.
See you at the Ball!
