Lloyds TSB Open Day – July 1
The annual open day on the beach will take place on SAR Day, Saturday
July 1, 12-5:00. Bring friends and family-- anyone who always says
they want to come out for a sail and never do! This event is sponsored
by Lloyds TSB and will include BBQ on the beach along with fun rides
on different sail boats and canoes. This is a great chance for children
and novice sailors to have a bit of fun sailing and paddling. See
you there!

sailing will be on Saturday July 15. The registration forms can
be found here. These

News
Beach Clean-up
The pile of hulls, masts and bits will be thrown away at the end of
June. LBC intends to build a boat from the scrap and retain one hull
as a spare. Please remove items from the beach if you wish to keep
them. This notice will be included in all FLASH communications until
the end of June.
Return your Boat to Assigned Position:
A number of boats have not been put back into their assigned location
on the beach after they were moved for the typhoon. Please help
us keep the beach in proper order. If you will be away during the
summer it would be a good idea to take care of this now and also
to tie down your boat for typhoon season.
Mosquito Breeding:
Make sure your boat cover does not catch water and become a breeding
ground for mosquitoes. This is your responsibility and a legal offense
if the health department decides to investigate. If you cannot rig
or arrange to keep the water from collecting, please take the cover
off so the trampoline can drain more easily.

Buddha Series Results
The Buddha series was completed with three final races on Sunday,
June 18th. It was a lot of close racing between Clara (crew: Adam)
and Jimmy (crew: Iris). In the end Jimmy prevailed with a reasonable
margin. We also saw some ‘old-timers’ out on the water
including Sam and Nicole, Al Doherty and even John Rempel. Hope we
will see more of them in the coming season!
