Time to get down to the beach and take advantage of the newly acquired skills that our Club Instructors are just itching to test out on to you! LBC now has 18 trained instructors and ambitious plans to get Club member skills upgraded, as well as to create a pipeline of new sailing talent into the club. Two areas of focus have been identified for which sail training programmes will be put together:
- Boat owners, sailors and crew who seek skill refresher training
- Beginners who want to learn more about sailing
We are particularly keen to encourage existing boat owners to get more involved in the club, and therefore an early initiative will be to organize a one-day refresher course open to all boat owners, sailors and crew. The course typically comprises dry land skills, lunch and a sail in the afternoon. A nominal charge will be levied to cover lunch and administration.
