Air Canada Asian Open Regatta Results
On the weekend of October 27-28th, we had a great event with 55 boats participating. We completed 6 races across the 2 days, despite our relatively light winds. In addition to the competition, we had a great beach party on Saturday, as well as an awards dinner at Hemingways on Sunday, topping off the weekend.
Thanks to our generous sponsors: Air Canada, Enzo, Hemingways by the Bay, Stormies, Lloyds TSB, Fragrant Harbour, Blue Fin Sea Sports. Without them we wouldn’t have had such a great event;
Thanks to our volunteer race officer Bo Fussing and safety officer Kevin Lewis who managed the race logistics, safety and results;
Thanks to the RHKYC and John Phillips for loaning their boats as part of our safety contingent;
And thanks to the club members who made it all possible: Steve Wallace, Cathy Lam, Richard Carrey, John Rempel, Vannetta Bertram-Grover, Tom Nunan, Joe Shieh, Wayne Smal and Neels Brink.
