OTHER
Volunteer Safety Officers Needed
Kevin Lewis helps LBC by coordinating the Safety activities for our annual regatta, coming up this weekend. Over the past few years we have had both flat calm and also windy events. We are asking for volunteer help involving crewing in a safety boat. The job is largely using the VHF radio to help co-ordinate, and assisting the safety boat driver with rescues and moving marks. Often you can just relax in the sun and take some photos! If you are interested, there will be free lunches and free kit, which usually includes bags, event shirts and other items, which are excellent. It’s also a good way to get to know some of the guys from the other clubs. You dont have to be free for all days, just let Kevin know if interested and on what days.

Annual General Meeeting in November – Seeking New Officers
A number of positions on the committee will become open in November with current long-serving committee members stepping down.  These include the positions of Commodore, Treasurer and Secretary, among others. The outgoing officers will be handing over to a new group of interested and caring members who will continue to expand the club as the centre for watersports in DB.

This is a great way to stay involved and bring fresh ideas to the club.  Please contribute your talents and time.
