Typhoons

Remember that you need to take responsibility for you boat during a typhoon. Our insurance does not cover damage during anything above a T1 signal. So T3 or above (as now) is not covered. Boats should use the tie-downs to ensure they do not float away. YOU MUST LOOK AFTER YOUR OWN BOAT (assuming it is still there).

The Fragrant Harbour Multihull Trophy

Results of the Fragrant Harbour Multihull Trophy are now available! The series scores the total placings across a range of regattas throughout the year. These include Cheung Chau Challenge, ABC regatta, Hobie Asian Classic, DB Asian Open Regatta and the Around the Island Race. Out of these, 2 discards were allowed (not including either the Hobie Asian Classic or DB Asian Open Regatta). Prizes were awarded in April, at the end of the Cheung Chau Challenge.

Summarised results:

   1. Tom Nunan
   2. Al Doherty
   3. Pietro Poma

Our Cheung Chau Regatta

The annual Cheung Chau Challenge weekend, (12-13 April), took a new twist this year with a wholly new format. This year, 2 closely-matched teams were created from the pool of participants. Both teams sported their own color, either Orange or White, with each boat denoting their colour by hanging a large piece of ribbon from the back of the mainsail.
