This has already proven to be a very busy spring. We completed a successful Cheung Chau Challenge with an entirely new format, sailing in mixed teams within our Hobie Club brethren. We have held 2 fully-booked novice training sessions, led by our more than competent LBC training master, Al Doherty.

As the weather warms up, the sailors seem to be thawing out from the cold winter. Participation in sailing events and social sails have been increasing and the paddlers are boasting big numbers in preparation for the upcoming Dragon Boat races. It looks as if we will have plenty of able-bodied paddlers on the teams.

For sailing races, Mouse Series starts on the 11th of May and the Ladies helm is on the 18th. You might want to check your rigging before you jump on your boat. I have seen several boats with frayed halyards and trapeze lines.

See you on the water!
