Sunday 29 June

DB Regatta

In a gesture of friendship and cooperation, The Discovery Bay Yacht Club has invited LBC to participate in the DB Regatta. The plan is simple, we will start about 15 mins behind the 2nd group of big boats over day's two races. Once finished, we will sail back to the beach. Afterwards there is a party and prize-giving at the DB Marina Club. To ensure we can attend after we finish, the DBYC is providing free rides on the Seafari boat (the very fast cool yellow boat in DB) to get back over to the Marina Club, and the LBC will buy your drinks!

Details of the Regatta can be found here: http://www.dbyc.net/index.php/main/events/
Note that we will have our race briefing on the beach instead of at the Marina Club no later than 9:30am

YOU CAN SIGN UP AT THE BEACH ON SUNDAY MORNING, BUT COME BEFORE 9am

I will provide race details at the briefing on the beach so do not be late! Prizes will be awarded, including the awards from the Enzo Islands Race for Dart, Hobie and F18. Other prizes will be given too, but only if you race!

We could use someone on the Committee Boat to record times, help with flags and take photos. You can get on and off the committee boat as you want. The DBYC have managed to get The Bounty as our committee boat. Should be fun!

Our races will start about 25 mins after the first class to depart. So our race time will be around 10:55 and 13:55. depending on when all boats are ready.

Tuesday 1 July

LBC Open Day

Our very popular event will take place on Tuesday, 1st July. This is a social opportunity for both club members and anyone in the Community who may be interested in the club. Be prepared to take visitors for a ride on your boat. We will have sailors and paddlers taking people out all day.
