Sail vs Paddle
The Sailing vs Paddling race for tomorrow will be cancelled. Many paddlers have committed to another training/racing this weekend, so we will have to reschedule. To be announced when we find a new date.
INSTEAD, we will have a nice social sail, leaving the beach by 12 noon. Come one, come all. Details here.
ABC Regatta
The ABC Regatta is next weekend! Note that a new format has been announced which will see 2 races over a geometrical course on Saturday and an Islands race on Sunday. So far we only have a couple of boats entered from LBC. Where are all you sailors? Only HK$200 covers the entire weekend and parties. This is also the first race in the Fragrant Harbour catamaran race series for 2008. For details and sign up forms please go here:

Sail Training with Brian Phipps
Brian Phipps, our internationally renowned sailing coach, will be coming back to Hong Kong in September. We will have a group class for intermediate sailors on the weekend of 20-21 September. We will permit between 8-10 boats in the class. Sign ups are first come first served.
Removal of Uninsured Boats
We are required to provide insurance for all sailboats in our club. However, we have a number of boats that are not properly registered anymore. We will be taking inventory this weekend and will provide a list next week. Any boats on the beach which require insurance but do not have it, will be placed at the back, and will have the mast taken down. If they remain unclaimed, we will have them removed. More on this next week after the inventory.
