- Hobie Asian Classic
Typhoon Cleanup
We will meet tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm to clean up the beach a bit and
assess the damage caused to the boats. The has already proven to be the
most damaging typhoon to the club ever. We will be taking inventory of
all of the damage to see if we can coordinate our repairs.
Also, stay around for Craig Kurten’s going away BBQ and drinks just after the cleanup (before Sundown) on Saturday at the club.
Boat Repair
We have arranged to contract a fiberglass repair person for a week
or so to get our boats fixed. After we see tomorrow (Saturday) what
needs to be fixed, we will try and get some plan for the repairs. You
need to come down this weekend to ensure any fixes that are needed on
your boat are included.
Hobie Asian Classic
We still have very low numbers enrolled for the Hobie Asian Classic. If
your boat works, you should be entered! Personally, my boat is not
sailable for the race, but I am hoping to borrow a working boat for the
race… (hint, hint).
Please let me know right away if you want to enter.
The current plan is to sail on Sunday at 12noon over to Tai Tam. If
the current weather is OK we will sail then, or we will reschedule if
the weather is too rough from the coming typhoon.
