Plan for Cheung Chau Challenge
Saturday April 25
8am – meet on the beach to rig
9am – brief run through of the rules (barging at the start, tacking in front of another boat within 3 lengths at the windward mark, any others you think are important)
9.15 – leave the beach to sail to CCC aiming to be there for 11
12:30 – Registration, briefing & lunch @ Windsurf Bar, Cheung Chau (Be there no later than 12:15!!!)
13:30 – 16:30 Racing
Evening – meet @ Windsurf Bar, then on to seafood dinner
Sunday April 26
09:30 – 12:30 Racing
13:30 Lunch & prizegiving at Windsurf Bar (including presentation of the 2008 Fragrant Harbour Championship Trophies)
As soon as the prizegiving is done, boats will sail back to LBC.
Accommodation is available at the Warwick Hotel which overlooks the beach and racecourse. The Warwick is offering a special rate of HK$850 nett per room per night (10% service charge inclusive), check-in on 25 Apr 09 (Sat) & check-out on 26 Apr 09 (Sun). Please mention that you’re with the LBC/Hobie Club to enjoy this special rate. The room rates include breakfast for 2. Bo Fussing is the RO for the Challenge, and would appreciate help on the committee boat (Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning). Need repair?
One of our members has arranged to have Sunny Marine come back and work on his boat. They are the company that did the repairs after Typhoon Hagupit. If you would like book time for repairs of your own, we will help coordinate with Sunny Marine. Please send your info commodore@lantauboatclub.com
