Novice Training

Safety
Summer is a season for sailing with good weather and warm water. But we don’t want to see people encountering problems in sailing on their own and ending up in failure to return to the beach. The following is some advice for people who are planning to sail on their own in the coming days.
- take Awah’s number (Tel: 9092-8010) with you –
Awah helps us for the powerboat support for many years and is very helpful. He is very familiar with area around Lantau and can easily find you in case of an accident.
- Take a paddle on board –
When there is no wind, paddling is quite efficient.
- Don’t leave the beach when it is getting dark -
A sailboat is not equipped with any light, other vessels on the water cannot see you after sunset and it is very dangerous.
- Check weather forecast before sailing.
We hope every member has good days sailing in LBC without falling into trouble or having any accident. Please be cautious and considerate when you go sailing.
