Lantau Island Rowing Club
The Extraordinary General Meeting to decide whether we would invite the proposed Lantau Island Rowing Club (LIRC) to join was held on Tuesday 23rd and prompted some lively debate. The vote was cast with 31 votes in favour and 25 against. Thank you to all who turned up to the meeting and contributed to the debate. The LIRC will hold an Inaugural General Meeting soon and a letter of agreement will then be signed between them and the LBC.
LBC Christmas Ball 4th December
Please note that the price has been reduced to $750 per head. If you want to go, please book as soon as possible with Jade social@lantauboatclub.com because final numbers need to be established. It’s going to be held in the Airport World Trade Centre, starting at 7pm. Don’t miss the LBC social event off the year.
Beach Security
Please remember that the beach is open access to all and that members of the public have as much right to move around the LBC area of the beach as the Club members. This means that your belongings may not be safe while you are on the water. We have had a couple of incidents of theft this year, the most recent being the loss of an iPhone. Please place your valuables in the hut and make sure it’s not left open all the time.
