This season's first LBC social and racing event will be the inaugural Commodore's BBQ and Club Race on Sunday, May 29.
Since we have many new boats and sailors this year, we'll hold a short review of racing rules before the race. So don't be shy: Even if your racing is a bit rusty or you are new to racing, this is the perfect event to get your boat wet. The review will be at 10:00 AM, followed by the skippers briefing, and then we'll push off the beach around 10:30. Racing will be around the cans, but wind permitting we might throw in an island course as well.
The BBQ will get underway around 1:00 PM, all food and drinks being provided by LBC. All sailing, paddling, kayaking, and rowing members are encouraged to come as well.
The BBQ will give everyone a chance to meet the new Officers Committee and chat about plans for the coming year:
