LBC has again arranged for renowed UK coach Brian Phipps to offer training from November 4 to 14. Two one-day group courses have been arranged, along with several days available for private coaching. A one-day "Rusty Helms and Regatta Newcomer" course will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, and an Intermediate Racing and Spinnaker Boat Course on Sunday, Nov. 6.
Brian will run a a course aimed at sailors of various levels, as well as personal coaching for individuals or pairs.
Note that these courses are open only to LBC members.
This year Brian will offer two one-day courses and private tuition on weekdays.

Full-day Course | This course aims to improve experienced sailors' basic skills and strengthen their spinnaker sailing. Numerous exercises will provide methods for speeding up, slowing down, race starting, and other tactical racing scenarios. The intermediate racing course will conclude in mid-afternoon, followed by one more session for the spinnaker boats. |

Half day sessions | Private tuition from Brian for helm and crew. As well as on-the-water training, each 3-hour, half-day session will include tips on boat rigging and tactics. Sessions are tailored to fit your requirements. |
Training schedule
Brian Phipps will again be providing catamaran training this November. Both group and private sessions are available. The schedule and coaching fees are as follows:
Saturday, November 5: Rusty Helm and Reggata Newcomer group course
Sunday, November 6: Intermediate Racer and Spinnaker Boat group course
The fee for the Nov 5 course is $1000 per boat. Fees for the Nov 6 course are $800/boat for non-spinnaker boats and $1000/boat for spinnaker boats. Training for non-spinnaker boats will end in mid-afternoon, after which there will be an additional session for spinnaker boats. Applications to all courses will be accepted at the discretion of the committee.
