This year, LBC's annual Christmas party will be transformed into a beach-based family event with a special attraction for the kids. The party is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 13:00–15:00 or so. Through our special contacts at the North Pole, we've arranged for Santa Claus to visit our beach—arriving by boat, of course—to distribute gifts to all the nice kids whose parents sail, paddle, or row.
Our indefatigable social secretary, Andy Keith, will provide a yummy BBQ with mulled wine and holiday treats. But to make the event truly special, we'd like to ask everyone to help out in two ways. First, please bring along a festive dish representative of your national cuisine, so that we can supplement our BBQ with an international potluck buffet. Second, to make sure Santa has just the right gift for your child, parents please prepare a small gift for your kids, labeled with their names. These will go into Santa's bag, so that he can distribute them to the children when he arrives.
