Lantau Boat Club Paddling Section was formed in March 2005 and has about 60 members, mostly residents of Discovery Bay.
We have six OC6s (six-person canoes) – four are Bradley Lightning outriggers (Va’a Pake Nui, which means “Strong Chinese Boat,” and Va’a Pake Awiwi, which means “Fast Chinese Boat”) and two are “Unlimited” canoes. The club also owns a number of OC2s and OC1s.
Whilst outrigging is our main sport, we also race in the Dragon Boat events. More information can be found below.

Calling all dragon BOATERS!!!!
Each year, our paddlers participate in dragon boat races around Hong Kong, including Deep Water Bay, Lamma, and Mui Wo. We always organize teams to paddle at Discovery Bay for the Tuen Ng festival as well. Training starts around January/February each year, with races from April to June.
We are now recruiting for the 2018 Dragon Boat Season
