We are a friendly, enthusiastic and predominantly beach-catamaran sailing club who are lucky to enjoy the relatively calm waters to the east of Lantau Island. We offer social activities, racing, easy water access for a casual outing, and welcome anyone who is enthusiastic about sailing to join us.
We have a range of privately owned boats from Dart and Hobie Catamarans to twin trapeze F16 and F18’s, plus hydro-foiling Nacra 17’s and A Class catamarans.

We don’t offer any formal training but if you’re a complete beginner we can pair you up with an experienced helm for an introduction sail. If you enjoy it we can recommend a number of qualification courses you can take prior to joining the club.

Racing is a great way to improve your skills and enjoy some friendly competition with full safety support.
Our racing season begins around March and finishes in late November, with our regatta held in late October. The regatta attracts sailors from around Asia who join us for a weekend of racing and festivities.
As well as club racing our sailors often race at events around Hong Kong and are also privileged to enjoy a mutual agreement with Royal Varuna Yacht Club in Pattaya. LBC members can enjoy racing with RVYC members at their regatta every November.

Our membership is very diverse with members of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to well seasoned, and everything between.
